Join our webinar for a practical look at how dissolution–permeation testing and mechanistic modelling can be applied to real-world formulation challenges.
Through case studies using marketed drug products, we’ll explore:
-
Conventional, amorphous solid dispersion, and nano-sized formulations
-
Challenging compounds and formulation-dependent performance
-
Supersaturation, precipitation, food effects, and colloidal solubilization
-
How in vitro and in silico approaches can help predict oral absorption and reduce development risk

Chief Scientific Officer
Karl Box has served as Chief Scientific Officer (Europe) at Pion (UK) since 2020. He is involved in scientific and chemistry-related functions within the company, as well as supporting commercial activities and business development. His expertise lies in physicochemical measurements, where he has built a successful career developing new instrumentation and assays to support drug discovery and development. Karl earned his BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Bath in 1989.
Karl is an established speaker at international scientific meetings and conferences and has contributed to the AAPS eLearning webinar series. He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and has published on a range of topics, including solubility and lipophilicity and their relationship to the Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS). His work has also explored strategies for improving compound classification through supersaturation and solubility enhancement—key areas of interest in oral biopharmaceutics and drug delivery.
